SMART FACTORY

With the future in mind, our SMART FACTORY initiative is conceived to maintain conventional mass-production capabilities while expanding our ability to handle small-lot custom orders. Artisanship is augmented by up-to-date facilities, such as digital sewing machines connected to the network. Workers’ intuition and skills are digitized and reflected in production lines in a timely manner, automatically integrating data required to fine-tune digital processes. As a result, the efficiency of each production process has been greatly improved. Productivity is enhanced and stable production maintained, despite erosion of the workforce through declining birthrates and aging of the population. Phased investment in plant and equipment is making our SMART FACTORY project a reality.
